Who are ya?! Seung-Woo Lee

He is only 17 years old but Seung-Woo Lee has already made headlines around the world.

The Barcelona youngster has been attracting attention from arch rivals Real Madrid and Premier League side Chelsea.
Early career
The South Korean youngster caught Barca’s attention early on, in the 2010 Danone Nations Cup (a prestigious international youth football tournament) he finished as the top scorer with 12 goals.
However, the Catalan giants fell foul of FIFA rules when signing the youngster and as a result he has been banned from playing competitive club football until the age of 18.
While this ban has affected his marketability, he has been branded as the next Messi but sponsors are yet to pick up the wonderkid.
Once he gets regular game time though he will no doubt become a star in his homeland like former Manchester United midfielder Park-Ji Sung.
International career
Lee is a rising star in South Korea’s youth teams, however once the ban has been lifted and he is back in action for Barcelona, the striker will no doubt become a regular name in the senior squad.
He appeared at the Under-16 Asian Championships in Thailand last year and impressed everybody with his abilities, as South Korea reached the final of the tournament with Lee finishing top scorer with five goals to his name.
The striker has so far made seven appearances for the Under-17 side bagging six goals along the way and will no doubt be one to watch at the Under-17s World Cup in New Zealand this year.
Lee has the potential to be a future star, both on the pitch and commercially, and the world will be watching in January 2016 when the youngster is finally able to play competitive games in a Barcelona shirt.
